Meteorite BI joins the Charm Partner Programme

Canonical is excited to announce that Meteorite BI has joined the Charm Partner Programme. Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme helps solution providers make best use of Canonical’s universal service modelling tool, Juju; enabling instant workload deployment, integration, and scaling at the click of a button. Meteroite BI will be contributing their Saiku solution to the Juju Charm Store, which  has over 300 cloud based applications ready to be deployed, scaled and managed on most public and private clouds, as well as bare metal.

Meteorite BI is the company behind Saiku, a 100% web based analytics and data exploration application. Saiku combines highly flexible, easy to use analytics with performance querying to allow users to find and view information that matters to them quickly. With more and more businesses investing in NoSQL and Big Data solutions the ability to visualise what is stored within them becomes more and more important. Saiku allows you to query your NoSQL data source without limitation, and utilising the power of Saiku’s inbuilt caching mechanism, you can offer users high performance visualisations and analysis when querying large amounts of data.

Tom Barber, Head of Product Development at Meteorite BI, said, “Now deploying Saiku in the cloud is as easy as undertaking data exploration in Saiku, Juju allows our users to start analysing data in minutes whether their data is stored in a Big Data solution or a relational database. It is great that we are able to offer the choice of our our Community Edition solution and Saiku Enterprise which includes easy to deploy dashboards and direct Big Data connectivity together with full support.”

“Saiku just became the first data visualization and analytics platform available via Juju, and that is no less than a game changer for our big data practice. It was the missing block for us to design complete verticals that solve our customers problems, whether they are expanding their private clouds practice to integrate Big Data or just starting with public cloud deployments. We are now in a position to offer end-to-end, ingestion to analytics platforms, deployable in minutes, that integrate with your existing data, and extract value out of it. I look forward to seeing the first applications come out of this partnership at Strata later this year” said Samuel Cozannet, Big Data Strategic Programme Manager at Canonical.
